Halloween in Miami and South Florida is almost here and that means plenty of trick-or-treat fun! If you want to venture through South Florida neighborhoods to trick-or-treat, there are many options to enjoy. Many Miami neighborhoods feature houses that fully get into the Halloween spirit, with elaborate decorations and tasty candy for every costumed child. 

We have polled local parents, sourced community events, and compiled a list of great options for your family to trick-or-treat in Miami and South Florida this Halloween. Get out and enjoy the spooky fun of celebrating a Miami Halloween by coming home with a massive haul of sugary sweets!

Halloween Neighborhoods to Trick-or-Treat Near Miami

Santa Maria Street - Coral Gables

People who recommended Santa Maria Street said that this street goes all out for Halloween (though in years past it has been blocked off for non-residents). Best part is that trick-or-treaters can look forward to getting lots of candy for all of their costumed efforts.

Forest Hills Neighborhood - Coconut Creek 

This neighborhood in Coconut Creek, Florida is known to have a LOT of candy. 

Sunset Place Block Party - South Miami

This location welcomes tons of families with tons of candy. Many kids hit up this area and the neighboorhood behind, about a block away, for further trick-or-treating.

Hidden Lake Neighborhood - Boca Raton

This non-gated community gives trick-or-treaters access to a candy-stocked neighborhood where most houses are decorated. 

Palm Beach Farms and Carriage Hills - Boca Raton

People have stated that these areas are great places for trick-or-treating. Most, if not all, of the houses are decorated and many participate in giving out tasty candy to the many children wandering these streets.

Palm Springs North Neighborhood - North Miami

The Palm Springs North neighborhood is a great location for trick-or-treating.

El Portal and Miami Shores Neighborhoods - Miami

These neighborhoods were brought to our attention since locals agree that these Halloween houses and yards are festively decortated and the trick-or-treating makes for a great haul.

Safe Streets Halloween Block Party - South Miami

Sponsored by the City of South Miami and Miami Kids Magazine, this Halloween event offers trick-or-treating with plenty of free sweets. The party also features prizes, music, pumpkin decorating, live entertainment, inflatables, and more.

Halloween on Lincoln Road - Miami Beach

Lincoln Road opens its streets for a kid-friendly, trick-or-treat experience. All businesses participating in the candy event display a decal in their windows for easy trick-or-treating. People of all ages are welcome until early evening, before the streets transform into an adult-geared Halloween.

Halloween Festival - Hallandale Beach

Play carnival games for candy and prizes, take a walk down the trail of treats, and enjoy Halloween entertainment in Hallandale Beach. This costumed event offers a safe alternative to trick-or-treating, as well as music, photo stations, haunted maze, entertainment, loads of treats, and more.

Wear your favorite costume and enjoy a Halloween night of trick-or-treating inside the mall. All participating stores have a pumpkin displayed on their window as eager kids can visit from 5-7pm.

Halloween Treats & Movie Night - Fort Lauderdale

This Lauderhill Central Park Library event gives the candy without the pesky work of trick-or-treating! Bonus: Attendees get to watch a movie as well!
