La Cima Charter School

La Cima means the peak of a mountain in Spanish. The K-5 school has been serving students for the past fifteen years. La Cima Charter School is grounded in the spirit of Restorative Practices via four C.A.R.E. principles - Community, Accountability, Reconciliation, Effective Effort. They are committed  to:

  • Small class size 

  • Art Programming including: Visual Art;  Music and Music theory, and African Dance & Drumming twice a week in each area

  • A Social Emotional Learning program where students practice managing their feelings, exploring their learning needs, and learning how to collaborate and build relationships with other students

  • Building foundational reading and math skills using EL Education and Into Math curriculums. Technology model that enables scholars to have access during integral parts of the day
