Celebrate a day honoring the memories of our ancestors, family traditions, and the power of women storytellers, inspired by the new exhibition, Amalia Mesa-Bains: Archaeology of Memory. Explore the exhibition with free gallery tours, then meet in the Cafe on 104th Street for art activities, storytelling and dance workshops, and more.  

The block party is followed by a concert presented in collaboration with Carnegie Hall City Wide Concert Series at 4pm in El Museo’s Teatro, featuring Caña Dulce & Caña Brava. Caña Dulce y Caña Brava’s performances celebrate the music, poetry, dance and traditional attire of Veracruz, Mexico.
