Amazing Animals Exhibit

Long Island is full of great little learning centers and this is no exception. The Center for Science Teaching and Learning is home to a terrific pre-school (Nature Kids), but in case you're not local, you can head down the Rockville Center and check out the entire center for a really great learning experience anytime for all ages. And this weekend, check out the Amazing Animals Exhibit, featuring over 2000 sq. feet of cool, unusual, and loveable animals. Click here for more information and details. 
 
 
Music Institute of Long Island Winter Recital

Check out some of Long Island's most talented young musicians perform as soloists at the Music Institute of Long Island presents it's Winter recital. LEGO League Exhibition

So if you were thinking this was a chance to take your kid to see cool things built from legos, you're only partly correct. This is actually your chance to see a lego-building competition, and then check out cool things built by legos. Snow Queen, presented by the Hudson Vagabond Puppets

This isn't your average puppet show. With lifesize puppets and actors working together, the Hudson Vagabond Puppets have developed a reputation for engaging audiences young and small. Family Sunday at the Museum: Under the Big Top

We've posted in the past about NCMA's great Family Sundays-they offer a guided tour of the museum just for families each Sunday and typically also offer family crafts as well. Visit them now and check out "Under the Big Top," an exhibition designed to showcase the art, action, talent, and science of the circus for kids.
